Oxtail soup? Spring onion and ginger chicken; kai lan with minced meat

Now, you may wonder why steakii ass is showing partially in this picture. I have no idea. really. You have to ask that puddy. Perhaps its to tell you that the soup isn't oxtail soup, or cowtail soup for the matter.

Back to the main topic, I always liked carrot, potato, tomato and pork bones soup. That is the only soup that I like to drink (except for one other). Unfortunately, the soup was missing onions. The reason why there isn't onions was because I didn't want to buy onions at that Indian shop. And I didn't want to buy onions at that Indian shop was because there was pigeon shit on it (due to all the pigeon fluttering around the area) and that puts me off totally.

This was my first attempt at frying jiang chong ji rou and I think it's not too bad. Except that I over cooked the chicken meat while trying to determine if it needs more sauce. And it puzzled me that the papa ate up everything else except the chicken. I swear it isn't THAT tough. Honest!

Kai lan , carrot and minced meat were combined to make this dish. The minced meat was again overcooked, which meant that instead of the following wok sequence; ginger-carrot-minced meat - veggie, it will have to be ginger-carrot-veggie-minced meat. The veggie was okay tasting except that I forgot to put in garlic!

All in all, i reckon its time to move on to tougher dishes as all these normal dishes hold no excitement for me anymore. Perhaps i may try out chilli crab or drunken prawns or even attempt at frying a fish again for my next cooking endeavor.
