Steamyboat III on Christmas Day

As the weather was cold cold these few days, lil lamb and puddy decided to find some warmth in a hot steamyboat (and in each other) this christmas day.

Nice, this was once of the most sucessful steamyboat puddy had. Just right food (but the glutton lamb for once said too much foodie, mebbe becoz he kept eating my sotong and I had none); the chicky slices were just the right size and paired with lil lamb's secret ginger sauce - yummy! We had 2 kinds of veggies, one puddy favourite, the other mehmeh's fav; mushroomies, tofu (60cents only!), meatyballs, yee fu mee, and and and...the best of all...the soupie has my favourite lao huang gua - nice and soft and long-anticipated as I haven ate it in a long while.

I think i overdid it with the stock chicky cubes, so the soup was tooooooooo sweet, coupled with the bitter taste of the old cucumber, its really a bit weird, but then i'm so glutton I overlooked it.

And with all steamyboats, at the end of the steamyboat, it was too salty, luckily I still had fresh soup to add, so it was still yummy. (but the chicky stock cubes made me gulp lots of water after that). Next time I shall save a bit on the cubes and the wolfberries, and remember to soak the huang dou!

Since steamyboat is a usual occurrence in our cupbarn, mehmeh say cannot too boring, so puddy thot of a interesting (i hope) activity. Bao wanton (as steakii looks on). Egg white + minced pork + dumpling skin + deft totters = wanton in funny shapes. Hehe, actually the normal shaped ones are the lamb's, the weird looking ones are pudding's.

Who washed the dishy? Pudding (and lil lamb left her in the kitchen and forgot her)
